I’ve noticed that lately I’m making more cakes…that would be due to the summer fruit and beautiful sunny days effect kicking in. It’s certainly true that I could keep on posting (and eating) only cakes, but today I’ve pushed myself to use my flour for a savory recipe. I’ve already bored you talking about my deep love for any kind of breads, so instead of being surprised, go check out Angie’s party that I will co-host, the #30 Fiesta Friday! This bread with grilled vegetables will be the perfect weekend treat!

Ingredients:

1 red pepper • 2 zucchini • 1 half red onion • 2 tablespoons of kalamata olives or taggiasche •180 gr. of all-purpose flour • 10 cl. of vegetable oil • 10 cl. of milk • 100 gr. of grated cheddar • 2 eggs • 10-12 gr. of baking powder • salt and pepper

  • Preheat oven to 200°, cut the vegetables into thin slices, line a roasting pan with parchment paper and roast the vegetables for about 15 minutes;
  • Mix the eggs with the oil, add the flour sifted with baking powder and then add to eggs;
  • Add cheese, salt and pepper, then as soon as they are no longer hot also add the vegetables; mix well;
  • Pour into the loaf pan previously lined with parchment paper or greased with butter;
  • Bake at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.

J’ai remarqué que dernièrement je réalise surtout des gâteaux, beaucoup plus que dans les derniers mois, ça serait l’effet des fruits d’été et du beau soleil. C’est vrai qu’on peut certainement manger seulement que des gâteaux, mais aujourd’hui je me suis imposée d’utiliser la farine dans une recette salée. Je vous avais déjà parlé de mon amour pour les pains, donc pas de surprises, et voilà mon pain aux légumes grillés, parfait à n’importe quel moment de la journée.

Ingrédients:

1 poivron rouge • 2 courgettes • 1 demi oignon rouge • 2 cuillères à table d’olives kalamata ou taggiasche • 180 gr. de farine tout usage • 10 gr. d’huile végétal • 10 cl. du lait • 100 gr. cheddar râpé • 2 œufs • 10-12 gr. de levure • sel et poivre

  • Préchauffez le four à 200°, coupez les légumes en tranches minces, tapissez un plat à rôtir avec du papier parchemin et faites griller les légumes pendant une quinzaine de minutes ;
  • Mélangez les œufs avec l’huile, ajoutez la farine tamisée avec la levure et ajoutez-la au mélange d’œufs ;
  • Ajoutez le fromage, du sel et du poivre, puis dès qu’ils ne sont plus chauds ajoutez les légumes aussi, mélangez et versez dans le moule à pain, précédemment tapissé avec du papier parchemin ou graissé avec du beurre ;
  • Cuisez à 180° pendant 40 minutes.

Ingredienti:

1 peperone rosso • 2 zucchine • 1 mezza cipolla rossa • 2 cucchiai di olive kalamata o taggiasche • 180 gr. di farina • 10 gr. di olio vegetale • 10 cl. latte • 100 gr. tagliuzzato formaggio cheddar • 2 uova • 10-12 gr. Lievito • Sale e pepe

  • Preriscaldate il forno a 200 °, tagliate le verdure a fette sottili, rivestite una teglia con carta da forno e arrostire le verdure per circa quindici minuti;
  • Mescolate le uova con l’olio, aggiungete la farina e il lievito setacciati insieme e aggiungete al composto delle uova;
  • Aggiungete il formaggio, sale e pepe e non appena saranno più bollenti, aggiungete anche le verdure, mescolate e versate il composto nella teglia precedentemente foderata con carta da forno o unta di burro;
  • Cuocere in forno a 180° per 40 minuti.grilled vegetables bread

Magari potessimo anche noi infornare torte con la splendida frutta estiva, ma il clima ci è sfavorevole e la frutta finisce così, nuda e cruda, dritta nel nostro stomaco :-) Adesso, magari non ci crederai, ma proprio l’altro giorno la nostra amica-commessa del supermercato bio ci ha chiesto una ricetta per un plumcake salato, ma visto che non ne abbiamo mai fatti, abbiamo promesso di cercare qualcosa per lei.
